What A Storm It Was!

The Detroit Pride defeated the Houston Wildcats in the USWFL Storm Bowl 22-20 in a down to the wire thriller in Paoli, In on Saturday afternoon. This marks The Pride’s second bowl victory in their first 3 seasons as an organization.

Detroit received outstanding contributions on defense from Dasia Werts and Charmaine West to lead the D to holding the Wildcats to just 20 points. Offensive standout performances from Jenalyn Pollock and Rolanda Edwards brought the Pride back in the second half to the victory.

“I’m extremely proud of the work these ladies have put in. We see it every time they take the field. We’re very young and athletic and we consistently get better week to week.”, says Warren Griffin, Jr aka Lack of Flaws, co-owner of The Detroit Pride.

The Pride are scheduled to open their playoff schedule in Detroit, July 15th and the opponent is TBD at this time.
